Entitled Hey, Hey, Rise Up, the fundraiser was released on Thursday and is already a YouTube sensation, Poland’s niezalezna.pl website said.

Roused back from retirement by the events in Ukraine, the prog-rockers have teamed up with Andriy Khlyvnyuk, the lead singer of top Ukrainian band Boombox, according to niezalezna.pl.

Hey, Hey, Rise Up is built around a Ukrainian anti-war protest song, 1914’s The Red Viburnum in the Meadow, the website reported.

In the YouTube video, Khlyvnyuk is seen performing the song outside Saint Sophia Cathedral in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, niezalezna.pl said.

Meanwhile, in a studio adorned with Ukrainian national colours, Pink Floyd provide accompaniment with their signature guitar-based sound, according to the website.

Within 13 hours of being posted, the video, which features images of the war, has garnered more than 1.43 million views on YouTube, niezalezna.pl reported.
