Labour of love of Polish bass-baritone and Wagnerian Tomasz Konieczny, the festival that reaches back to the Forest Opera's 1930s reputation as "Bayreuth of the North" finally launches this summer to feature a production of "The Flying Dutchman". The celebrated singer is talking to Elżbieta Krajewska, and also director of the production Barbara Wiśniewska, and Piotr Sułkowski, head of Kraków Opera, which joins with an unexpected and unknown operetta by Karol Szymanowski.
