The 48th Polish Film Festival saw a number of national premieres, two directorial debuts and 16 productions, including a hand painted animation competing for a host of prizes and the Golden Lions, the main prize of the festival, which went to Paweł Maślona's “Scarborn”, which tells the story of Polish-American independence hero Tadeusz Kościuszko.
