The Polish choir received the accolade in the "pop ensembles" category.

Founded in 2012, Vox Singers specialize in the performance of pop and jazz. The choir has claimed top awards at choral festivals and competitions in the United States, Latvia, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Meanwhile, the Chamber Choir of the Educational-Artistic Department in Kalisz, western Poland, has won the silver medal at the 42nd International Choral Festival in Preveza, Greece.

The event brought together 22 choirs from countries such as Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Romania, Spain, the United States, Latvia and Greece.

Their performances were judged by an international panel of prominent composers and specialists in choral music, including Eduardo Garcia-Novelli of the United States, Graeme Langager of Canada, Masis Aram Gözbek of Turkey, Garo Avessian of Lebanon, and Poland’s Paweł Łukaszewski.

The Kalisz-based choir is part of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, western Poland.
