"The Hollywood Reporter," a magazine that has been a staple in the American market since the 1930s, described the Łódź Film School as one of Europe’s oldest film institutions, offering comprehensive programs leading to bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. degrees.
Attention was also drawn to an alumni list that includes Oscar-winning directors Roman Polanski and Andrzej Wajda, legendary auteur Krzysztof Kieślowski, and a remarkable number of world-class cinematographers such as Pawel Edelman, Dariusz Wolski, and Lukasz Zal.
In addition to the Polish school, the list of the 15 best film schools in the world (listed alphabetically) includes institutions such as France’s La Femis, the UK’s London Film School, the Czech Republic’s FAMU, China’s Beijing Film Academy, and the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
The Łódź Film School congratulated its faculty, students, and staff on social media for this prestigious recognition. "Your talents, work, and dedication allow the School to maintain its consistently high standards, which are appreciated not only in our country but also in distant corners of the globe," the statement read.
