Quincy Jones, legendary music producer and composer, dies at 91

Quincy Jones, the iconic music producer and composer who helped shape the landscape of global music, passed away at the age of 91 on Sunday, November 3, at his home in Bel Air, Los Angeles.

"Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing," his family said in a statement. “And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him.”

Recognized as one of the most influential figures in American music, Jones’ career spanned collaborations with Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, and Ray Charles, among others. His work on Michael Jackson’s albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad helped make Jackson an unparalleled pop icon, and his production of "We Are The World" became a global anthem.

Throughout his career, Jones collaborated with music legends including Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, and Donna Summer. A celebrated composer and producer, he was nominated for the Grammy Awards 70 times, winning 27 Grammys, and was honored with the Grammy Legend Award in 1991.
