Recording on the DUX label of Paradise Lost, the opera which Krzysztof Penderecki named a "sacra rappresentazione", as staged by the Grand Theatre in Łódź, has been nominated to the 2025 International Classical Music Awards in the Video Opera category.
As the production opened in Łódź coinciding with Maestro Penderecki's 90th birth anniversary in 2023, music director Rafał Janiak, stage director Michał Znaniecki and Elżbieta Penderecka, the late composer's wife, spoke to Elżbieta Krajewska.
