The second film in the fairy tale series, Kleks and the Invention of Filip Golarz, directed by Maciej Kawulski, is another adaptation of the famous novel by Jan Brzechwa – the legendary Polish-Jewish author, first published in 1946.

Several generations of Poles have grown up reading this book. The new interpretation of the adventures of Adam Niezgódka is now centered around Ada Niezgódka, a girl, and the fantastical character of Mr. Kleks. This version is aimed at a younger audience, though older viewers will also find plenty of intriguing storylines.

After a summer break, Ada Niezgódka returns to the Academy to unravel the mystery of her friend Albert's origins. Meanwhile, Professor Kleks ventures into the real world to find a long-lost friend. Both stories lead to Filip, known as Golarz, a former Academy graduate.

"Kleks loves children, but adults scare him. The same goes for the virtual world, which he sees as an illusion of the real world," explains Tomasz Kot, who plays the lead role, in a comment for Polish Radio Program I.

Over 300,000 people have already seen the second installment of Mr. Kleks's adventures at special screenings.
