Poland’s Chorzów to host 2028 European Athletics Championships

The Polish city of Chorzów has been selected to host the European Athletics Championships in 2028, officials have announced.

Earlier, the city’s landmark Silesian Stadium will be the venue for the 2027 European Athletics Team Championships, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.

Poland won this year’s European Athletics Team Championships, which were held in Chorzów at the weekend, defending their title from 2019.

Earlier this month, Poland's Chorzów hosted the World Athletics Relays, an international track-and-field event where teams from around the world competed in relay races at the Silesian Stadium.
