Around 109,400 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of June, the office said on Thursday.
It added that the number of housing starts in the first six months of this year, at around 119,700 in total, was 17.2 percent lower than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector increased by 5.9 percent in June in year-on-year terms, while rising 5.3 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Around 235,000 new homes were built in Poland last year, 6.3 percent more than in 2020, according to the Central Statistical Office.
