Ślizowska-Konopka, née Wilk, won a bronze medal for Poland in gymnastics at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl) said.
Born on February 4, 1935, she represented Poland twice at the Olympic Games, in 1952 in Helsinki and four years later in Melbourne, where she claimed the bronze in a team event.

After retiring in 1958, she became a coach and sports official.
Ślizowska-Konopka died in the southern Polish city of Kraków two days before her 88th birthday, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
