Poland's Karol Jabłoński finished runner-up, while countryman Łukasz Zakrzewski took the bronze in the event, which was held on Lake Kegonsa near Madison, Wisconsin at the end of last month.
Home favourite Matt Strubble won the competition in the US Midwest, breaking the dominance of Polish iceboat racers, news outlets reported.
Meanwhile, Poland's Łukasz Zakrzewski finished fourth, ahead of two other Poles, Tomasz Zakrzewski and Adam Szczęsny.
Poland's Jabłoński is a 12-time iceboating world champion; he had to settle for the silver this time, his sixth to date, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Since 1973, Poland has won 60 medals at iceboating world championships, 24 gold, 21 silver and 15 bronze, according to broadcaster Polsat Sport.
Meanwhile, some of Europe's top iceboat racers are expected to flock to Sweden later this month to vie for European honours.
The 2023 European iceboating championships are due to be held from February 18 to 25 if ice conditions permit, the PAP news agency reported.
