Officers say they have carried out over 4 million checks in total on people under quarantine since the epidemic broke out.
On Sunday, officers said that over 24 hours they had checked over 66,000 such individuals.
Only in some 170 cases did they find breaches for which people could face legal consequences, said Mariusz Ciarka, a spokesman for the country’s central police headquarters.
Ciarka added: “It is generally calm on the streets. Poles are complying with restrictions. We could be a model for other countries.”
Quarantine in Poland is imposed on people who are in good health but who have been in contact with someone who is infected with the COVID-19 disease, or who is suspected to be infected.
The quarantine period lasts 14 days, during which people are not allowed to leave home.
Poles who return home from abroad also face a mandatory two-week lockdown.
A total of 11,617 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Poland, with 535 deaths from the COVID-19 disease so far, officials said on Sunday evening.
