The Dane, who rides for the Trek-Segafredo cycling team, on Thursday finished ahead of Germany’s Pascal Ackermann and Italy’s Davide Ballerini in the race's 151.5 km second leg between the southern Polish cities of Opole and Zabrze.
Meanwhile, Dutch rider Fabio Jakobsen, badly injured in a horrific crash during the first stage of this year’s Tour de Pologne, remained in an induced coma at a hospital in the southern Polish town of Sosnowiec, where he underwent a five-hour life-saving operation.
The 2020 Tour de Pologne started on Wednesday and ends on Sunday amid the coronavirus pandemic.
