The 24-year-old Pole overpowered the Russian world number two, 2-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, in a two-day fourth-round epic at the grass-court tournament in the British capital to reach his first career Grand Slam quarterfinal.

Hurkacz, who is ranked world No. 18 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), will next face Swiss ace Roger Federer for a place in the semifinals.
