The move will place the country among the leading nations within the agency, according to Polish officials.
“The extra contribution totals EUR 200 million for the next three years,” the president of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA), Grzegorz Wrochna, said on Monday.
He added: “The specific allocation of the money is currently the subject of negotiations between ESA and Polish space sector companies. The primary objective is to ensure that the investment made by Poland translates into orders for domestic companies and research institutes as part of projects managed by ESA."
