Major climate event in southern Poland: audio report

With just under two months until the COP 28 climate summit in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, a significant two-day conference entitled PRECOP 28 has been held in Poland's Katowice to focus on preparing guidelines and recommendations for the UAE event.

“We are meeting in Poland because we want change for Poland, too, which will lead the country onto a path of ambitious decarbonisation, including bold innovation-driven economic, social and environmental efforts,” Kamil Wyszkowski of the UN Global Compact Network Poland said in opening remarks on Thursday.
