During the Sustainable Industry Lab conference held at the Copernicus Science Center on Tuesday, Anita Sowińska, a Polish deputy minister for climate and the environment, said that approximately 430 million tons of plastic are used globally every year.
The conference, attended by representatives from the administration, business community and nongovernmental organizations, focused on the challenges associated with climate change, particularly the efforts toward a UN plastic treaty.
