Europe has been facing a deepening climate crisis for some time now. However, in recent years, the situation has deteriorated, and some countries are experiencing a long list of undesirable ramifications of a changing environment.

Poland is currently facing the worst droughts in years, which causes other crises such as wildfires, crop failures and water quality problems.

In the last decade, climate change anomalies have become increasingly visible in the country. Warm winters, long-lasting droughts and frequent storms are now the order of the day.

This year, Poland may be affected by extreme heat and must be ready to fight it, says Prof. Szymon Malinowski, chairman of the Polish Academy of Sciences' Committee on the Climate Crisis.

Ada Janiszewska has the story.
