European Union Youth Orchestra wows Carnegie Hall

The first edition of Carnegie Hall’s World Orchestra Week (WOW!) inspired by the Hall’s own acclaimed national youth ensembles is taking place in New York this week with the participation of more than 700 young musicians from around the world.

Among them is a group of 100 musicians from the European Union Youth Orchestra, or EUYO, along with four guest musicians from Ukraine.

On Tuesday night, conductor Iván Fischer led the EUYO orchestra and acclaimed pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason in a program that charmed the audience.
