This year, the international competition features 35 teams from a dozen countries battling it out on a specially designed Mars yard.
In the challenge, competitors build their own Mars rovers which will have to complete tasks similar to those required of robots working on Martian or Lunar surfaces, such as collecting soil samples and overcoming obstacles.

For this purpose, a special area resembling the surface of Mars has been set up on the campus of the AGH University of Kraków, one of Poland’s most renowned technical academies.
The 2024 European Rover Challenge runs until Sunday.
