More than one billion children worldwide attend school. While many of them enjoy their right to be taught in a safe and stimulating environment, some are exposed to bullying, ridicule, social exclusion, and other forms of violence. Moreover, in the era of smartphones, a new manifestation of harassment is on the rise: cyberbullying through social media.

According to the study conducted by the Warsaw School of Social Psychology in cooperation with UNIQA Foundation, 62% of pupils reported being victims of bullying behavior at least occasionally, while nearly 61% said they had witnessed peer violence in recent months. Meanwhile, around 35% of students also admitted to engaging in bullying behaviour, says the report.
