Before attending the opening ceremony of the Olympics, Duda will meet Japan’s Emperor Naruhito, and he is also scheduled to hold talks with other top Japanese officials.
On Thursday, the first day of his trip, Duda visited the Fukudenkai social welfare corporation, which in the early 20th century provided shelter to several hundred Polish orphans—children of Poles deported to Russia's remote Siberia region.
