The event is held every year by the Makro Polska company to coincide with Poland's Independence Day. It is part of the company's “Polish Culinary Treasures” program, in which each participating restaurant offers special Polish dishes, available for either takeout or delivery.
Radio Poland's Danuta Isler spoke to Agnieszka Kuś, a culinary historian, in the run-up to Polish Cuisine Week, which this year will take place from November 11 to 20.
