Europe-wide survey shows how views of Poles evolve

A Europe-wide survey has provided a profound understanding of the main areas of division in Poland as well as the attitudes of Polish people towards political engagement, LGBT+ and climate change.

The European Social Survey is a cross-national survey aiming to measure and understand the attitudes, beliefs, and values of people living in Europe.

First held in 2001, it has become one of the most widely used sources of data on social and political attitudes throughout Europe.

Radio Poland’s Piotr Miszczuk spoke with the coordinator of the European Social Survey in Poland, Michał Kotnarowski, to find out more about the key factors driving divisions in Polish society.
