The event, dubbed the "Polish Climate Summit,” aims to foster collaborative efforts by the government, NGOs, scientists and business leaders to address environmental concerns and develop an ambitious and economically viable climate policy for Poland.
“Poland lacks consistency and a systemic approach in developing its climate policy,” said Zuzanna Rudzińska-Bluszcz, CEO for the Polish office of ClientEarth, an environmental law charity based in London.
“The country’s emission levels have not fallen since the late 1990s," she added. "Poland is the only EU member state to have declared no specific carbon neutrality date."
