New museum competence center planned in Poland

Poland's National Institute of Museums, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, has announced a plan to create a new museum competence center called Panoptikum.

Poland's Culture Minister Piotr Gliński briefs reporters on the Panoptikum project at a news conference in Warsaw on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023.

The project aims to provide Polish museums with space for storing and maintaining their collections.

The opening of the Panoptikum center is planned for 2025.
