The organizer is Future Collars, a school of digital competences, in cooperation with the European Women's Association and the Digital Europe Foundation.
The Women in IT Day 2023 event is supported by over 50 companies, organizations, institutions and media outlets in Poland and abroad.
"About 16 percent of women in Poland work in IT," Joanna Pruszyńska-Witkowska, co-founder of Future Collars, told Radio Poland's Danuta Isler. "It has been changing but still not by a lot. There's still a big discrepancy in this industry between men and women, and so there's still much to do, by not only getting young women into the industry but also retraining women who are already part of the job market."
