These organizations are actively engaged in various areas, including humanitarian aid, human rights advocacy and peacebuilding.

Radio Poland's Danuta Isler spoke to a representative from a Ukrainian NGO offering assistance to people in the hotspots of the Kharkiv region, which has suffered significant destruction.

Called "Peaceful Heaven of Ukraine," the organization was established immediately after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in February last year.

"The situation in many places of the Kharkiv region is very difficult," Oleksandr Varyvoda, project manager at Peaceful Heaven of Ukraine, told Radio Poland.

He added: "Many houses have been destroyed. Many people live without food or roof over their heads. That's why we have been trying to help them."
