The Pallas’s cat, also known as the manul, is an elusive, endangered wild feline that has become known for its extraordinary ability to be invisible.
A native of Asia, it inhabits some of the world's driest areas, where temperature can drop to minus 50 degrees.
This climate has given the cat its extra thick coat—and also a resistance to life and breeding in captivity.
The cat from Poland's Poznań Zoo, named Magellan, has recently been declared the Champion of the Manul World Cup 2023 following an online vote by hundreds of thousands internet users in Poland and beyond.
Marcin Matuszewski has the details.
