Poland's top officials unveil the details of the "Shield East" program

During a Monday morning conference at the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces headquarters, the country's top governmental and military officials presented information on Poland's National Defense and Deterrence Plan "Shield East".

First announced by the Prime Minister Donald Tusk on May 18th - the "Shield East" program was now described in a more detailed form by Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Defence Ministry, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk and the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Wiesław Kukuła.

Program „Tarcza Wschód” obejmie odcinek granicy niemalże 700 km., z czego pomiędzy 400-500 km. będzie dot. rozwoju różnego typu infrastruktury fortyfikacyjnej o różnym zaawansowaniu.
