Warsaw train station opens doors to refugees: audio report

Since the outbreak of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Poles have opened their hearts and homes to hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees.

But this massive grassroots effort has not been enough in the face of an immense influx of asylum seekers. Many of the newcomers have turned to specialised aid centres for help.

One such centre is located at the Central Railway Station in the Polish capital Warsaw.

Poland on Tuesday reported it had welcomed 2.34 million refugees fleeing Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
