Entitled Cześć – вивчаймо польську разом (Hi, Let’s Learn Polish Together), the podcast appears every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on the broadcaster's new Polish Radio for Ukraine station.

Every episode is also available on Polish Radio’s podcast platform, podcasty.polskieradio.pl, the broadcaster’s IAR news agency reported.

The podcast

Let’s Learn Polish Together is also broadcast by the Polish Radio for Children station. Airing since the beginning of April, it has gained a large audience, executives said.

Lessons are prepared by Anastazja Borkoniuk, who is of Ukrainian descent and has lived in Poland for years.

The podcast is geared to help Ukrainian children communicate with their Polish peers in schools and kindergartens, reporters were told.

Listeners can learn the basics of communication, polite expressions and simple ways to talk with their new Polish friends, for instance about favourite games and activities.

Radio Poland initiatives for Ukrainian children

Let’s Learn Polish Together is another new programme for Ukrainian children on Radio Poland.

On Fridays at 8 p.m., the station airs its "Children’s Magazine,” which features fairy tales by Irina Matsko in Ukrainian, as well as Polish songs.

Meanwhile, the Let’s Learn Polish Together podcast is presented by Radio Poland on the new Polish Radio for Ukraine station, which is available on FM frequencies in the capital Warsaw, the southeastern city of Przemyśl and the southeastern town of Hrubieszów. It also broadcasts in DAB+ format.

Thursday is day 99 of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Poland on Wednesday reported it had welcomed nearly 3.75 million refugees fleeing Russia's war on Ukraine.
