Belarus set to increase armed forces to 80 000 - Ukrainian General Staff

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Belarus is planning to increase its armed forces by creating a Southern Operational Command stationed near the Ukrainian border.

The Ukrainian General Staff has claimed that Belarus is planning to increase its armed forces in the areas of Volhynia and Polesia, to the north of Ukraine.

The number of armed personnel is set to increase by 80 000.

At the end of May, Lukaszenko took the decision to inrcease the armed forces in the south of Belarus with the creation of a Southern Operational Command.
