Ukraine says 18 medics killed, 50 wounded since Russia invaded

At least 18 medical workers have been killed and more than 50 wounded in Ukraine since the start of Russia's invasion, authorities have said.

The Ukrainian health ministry said in a social media post on Sunday that nearly 900 medical facilities had been either destroyed or damaged in Russian attacks since Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine on February 24, the Reuters news agency reported.

Ministry of Health of #Ukraine: since the beginning of the war, 18 doctors have died, more than 50 have been injured.

The post said 123 medical facilities in Ukraine were completely destroyed by the invasion, while 746 were damaged and needed repairs, the Nexta news service reported.

Russia's war in Ukraine entered its sixth month on Sunday.
