Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 62,060: report
Around 62,060 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in late February, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 2,472 tanks, 5,111 armored fighting vehicles and 1,459 artillery systems, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Saturday, as cited by the ukrinform.net website.
Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 345 multiple launch rocket systems, 180 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 266 warplanes, 234 helicopters, 15 warships, and 1,079 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.
A top Kyiv official was quoted as saying in late September that dozens of Russia’s newly drafted troops had already been killed on the battlefields of Ukraine.
A US Pentagon official said in August that Russia had suffered between 70,000 and 80,000 casualties, either killed or wounded, during its invasion of Ukraine.
Saturday is day 227 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
