By the morning of March 14, 2024, at least 1,790 children had been killed or injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression, the Ukrainian Prosecutor-General’s Office said in a statement, as quoted by state news agency Ukrinform.

"A total of 535 children have been killed and 1,255 sustained injuries of various degrees of severity, as per reports from juvenile prosecutors," the statement added.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor-General’s Office said these figures were not final "as work is ongoing to verify reports from hostility zones, temporarily captured and liberated territories," according to the ukrinform.net website.

On Wednesday, a 14-year-old girl was injured as a result of Russian shelling targeting the city of Sumy in the northeastern part of Ukraine, Ukrinform reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Thursday is day 750 of Russias war on Ukraine.
