Ukraine's air force said it shot down two Iskander-K cruise missiles over the area.
The missile debris damaged civilian infrastructure, causing a fire and injuring residents, regional governor Serhiy Lysak said, as cited by the Reuters news agency.
Two boys were among those injured, in addition to five adults, according to Lysak.
The attack damaged cars and knocked windows out in residential buildings and a hospital, Lysak wrote in a post on the Telegram messaging app, as cited by Reuters.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
Tuesday is day 832 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
