Poland's Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski hosted his Romanian and Turkish counterparts at talks in Helenów near the Polish capital as part of the Trilogue format established between the three NATO allies in 2012.

Two weeks before the alliance’s crucial summit in Washington, the three ministers discussed threats to NATO’s eastern flank, particularly those posed by Russia.

Sikorski said during the meeting that Poland sees Romania and Turkey as its key allies in the region.

“We have agreed to continue practical cooperation at embassy level, both within NATO in Brussels and as part of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Vienna, as well as in Kyiv, Chișinău and several other locations,” he told reporters.
