US Air Forces confirmed, that six F-16 Flighting Falcons assigned to the 138th Fighter Wing at Tulsa Air National Guard (ANG) Base, Oklahoma, arrived at Łask Air Base, Poland for the next 52nd Operations Group Det 1 Aviation Detachment Rotation, July 16, 2024.
The Ministry of National Defense (MON) and the Polish Armed Forces announced via social media that the Aviation Detachment Rotation 24 - 3 exercise began on Thursday. Polish and American pilots are conducting joint air operations across the country with multi-role F-16s.
The exercise, featuring F-16s from the 32nd Tactical Air Base and the 138th Fighter Wing USAF, will run until August 7. Its goal is to refine operational procedures for F-16 combat aircraft and enhance interoperability and collaboration between the Polish Air Force and the US Air Force.
The recurring Polish-American Aviation Detachment Rotation exercises are held in Poland based on a cooperation memorandum signed by Poland and the USA in 2011.
