Przemysław Rasiewicz-Kuczyński, a Polish citizen with Belarusian roots, died on August 6 while engaged in combat operations against Russian forces, news outlets reported.
He fought in the Belarusian Konstanty Kalinowski/Kastuś Kalinoŭski Battalion and the International Legion.
The farewell ceremony took place at the Baikove Cemetery in the Ukrainian capital on Tuesday, with military honors provided by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Family members traveled from Poland to attend the event, which also saw the presence of Polish diplomatic representatives in Ukraine.
During the ceremony, attendees honored Rasiewicz-Kuczyński's dedication, with tributes stating that he "passionately fought for Ukraine’s right to freedom" and thanking him "for fighting for our lives and the future of Ukraine."
His casket was adorned with the Polish, Belarusian and Ukrainian flags, reflecting his heritage and the nations he fought for.

Rasiewicz-Kuczyński, 36, had joined the Konstanty Kalinowski Battalion as a volunteer in September 2022. He participated in key battles across various Ukrainian regions including Bakhmut, Orikhiv, Kharkiv and Chasiv Yar.
Consistent with his last wishes, he will be buried in the military cemetery at the Field of Mars in Lviv, western Ukraine.
