According to Ukrainian military officials, troops have pushed one to three kilometers towards Russian positions in certain areas.

Reports from both Russian and Ukrainian sources suggest that Ukrainian forces are consolidating their hold in the Kursk region.

In a notable victory, Ukrainian forces have captured the village of Borki, located southwest of Sudzha, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi has reported.

The Ukrainian Air Force Command also released footage showing the destruction of a bridge over the Seim River in Kursk Oblast, a move experts believe is part of a broader strategy to encircle Russian troops in the region.

Russia has accused Ukraine of using Western-supplied weapons to destroy the Seim River bridge, with Russia's foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova claiming on the Telegram application that the attack involved US-made HIMARS rockets.

The Russian state news agency TASS reported that local authorities have initiated a mass evacuation of the 20,000 residents of Glushkovo following the bridge's destruction.

Ukrainian forces now reportedly control approximately 90 settlements and nearly 1,200 square kilometers of territory in Kursk Oblast.

Despite the gains, the situation remains challenging for Ukraine in the Donbas region, where Russian forces continue their offensive.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s air defence said it had successfully intercepted 14 Shahed drones launched by Russia overnight.
