On Monday morning, Russia conducted a large-scale missile assault on Ukraine, posing a threat to its western regions. The Ukrainian Air Force has issued warnings about incoming missiles targeting cities like Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk.

Poland's Armed Forces Operational Command reported that a pair of jets from the Łask base took off around 5:45 AM, followed by another pair from the Krzesiny base at approximately 6:15 AM.

An increased noise level is expected in southeastern Poland due to the operations of Polish and allied aircraft in the area.

The Armed Forces Operational Command also noted that since early morning, there has been significant activity by Russia's long-range aviation, involving strikes on targets, including those in western Ukraine.

The Polish armed forces noted that the last instance of intensified Russian aviation activity, which included strikes on western Ukraine, was on July 8, 2024.

The military confirmed that all necessary measures to secure Polish airspace have been implemented, and the Operational Command is closely monitoring the situation.
