Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 631,420: report

Around 631,420 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 8,671 tanks, 17,003 armored fighting vehicles and 18,061 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 1,220 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,185 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 945 air defence systems, 369 warplanes, 328 helicopters, 28 warships, and 15,113 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 933 of Russia’war on Ukraine.
