"History has shown us that if we allow aggressors like Putin to take land with impunity, they keep going, and Putin could set his sights on Poland, the Baltic states, and other NATO allies," said Kamala Harris on Thursday during the visit of President Zelenskyy, who is currently in the United States.

“We also know that other would-be aggressors around the world are watching to see what happens in Ukraine. If Putin is allowed to win, they will become emboldened, and history reminds us, and is so clear in reminding us, that the United States cannot and should not isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. Isolation is not insulation,” added the Vice President.

According to the candidate for the next President of the United States, U.S. assistance to Ukraine is not charity but stems from America’s strategic interests.

The politician also addressed the plans of Republican candidates Donald Trump and JD Vance, which propose giving up part of Ukrainian territory to Russia, labeling them as a plan for capitulation.

Kamala Harris emphasized that without Ukraine's involvement, the issue of ending the war cannot be resolved.

U.S. Vice President also noted that some in her country want to force Ukraine to accept neutrality and abandon security agreements with other nations.

She views these proposals as equivalent to surrender and considers them both dangerous and unacceptable.

In her opinion, permitting aggressors like Putin to take territory without facing consequences will only foster additional aggression against Poland, the Baltic states, and other NATO allies.
