According to a statement by the US Department of Defense, the new package will provide Ukraine with additional capabilities to meet its most urgent needs, including air defence capabilities; munitions for rocket systems and artillery; and anti-tank weapons.
The package contains munitions for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS); Stinger missiles; Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (c-UAS) munitions; and ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), according to the Pentagon.

Washington will also provide Kyiv with 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition; unmanned aerial systems (UAS); non-persistent land mines; Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided (TOW) missiles; Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems; and small arms and ammunition.
Other capabilities include demolitions equipment and equipment to protect critical national infrastructure, the statement said on Monday.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the United States has committed USD 61.4 billion in security assistance to help the country defend itself, the US Department of Defense said.
