According to a statement by the US Department of State, the new security assistance package includes Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (c-UAS) munitions, air defense munitions, 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition, and air-to-ground munitions.

Washington will additionally provide Kyiv with "Tube-launched, Optically guided, Wire-tracked (TOW) missiles; ammunition for crew-served weapons and fragmentation grenades; demolitions equipment and munitions," the statement said.

The package also contains "communication, training, software, clothing and individual equipment; and spare parts, ancillary equipment, services, training, and transportation," according to the US State Department.

"The United States and more than 50 nations stand united to ensure Ukraine has the capabilities it needs to defend itself against Russia’s aggression," the US State Department said in its statement.

Russia invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea on February 24, 2022, starting the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.

Monday is day 1,040 of Russia's war on Ukraine.
