Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 804,930: report

Around 804,930 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 9,741 tanks, 20,253 armoured fighting vehicles and 21,789 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 1,830 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,260 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)1,041 air defence systems, 369 warplanes, 331 helicopters, 28 warships, and 21,884 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea on February 24, 2022, starting the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 1,051 of Russias war on Ukraine.
