According to a report prepared by the Polish Economic, Poland’s exports to its eastern neighbor have increased since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
The surge was mostly driven by the need for supplies of defense-related products and materials for reconstruction efforts. The report stated that exports reached €9.4 billion in the first three quarters of 2024.
Key export categories included mineral fuels, vehicles, weapons, machinery, and electrical equipment.
Ukraine is now Poland’s seventh-largest export market, making up 3.6% of total exports, an increase from 2.1% in 2021.
