The satellite-based internet system, developed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, provides high-speed connectivity critical for emergency and civilian use where conventional infrastructure is damaged.
“Starlinks will help residents of the front-line territories to stay in touch,” Fedorov said, thanking Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski for the continued support.
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, Poland has provided nearly 29,500 of over 50,000 terminals used by Ukraine.
SpaceX’s Starlink has become crucial for Ukrainian troops and civilians in remote or war-damaged regions. Fears over service interruptions flared in February amid a reported minerals-related standoff between the U.S. and Kyiv. Elon Musk has cautioned that losing Starlink would undermine Ukraine’s defense.
Meanwhile, European satellite operator Eutelsat has offered to step in if Starlink access is jeopardized.
